There are many Egyptian-style tomb dungeons like this, but this one is mine... 17 rooms, one level, I think it turned out quite good. 8 pages for the main text, so you can print it as a booklet (but print the cover on a separate sheet).
I wrote the bulk of this back in 2023, but somehow never got around to share it. I used OSRIC for the stocking. And I wanted to do something NOT for levels 1-3.
Hell yeah. This is awesome. I like the crocodile and his little idol, and the trap door between the portcullises.
ReplyDeleteAre your players able to find room 16? I feel like mine never would be able to.
Thanks!
DeleteYeah, it's a valid concern.
This one hasn't been playtested yet, so I cannot provide actual play experience. However, I feel that it is possible to find it. 1. There are NPCs who can reveal clues - if not about the exact entrance, but about the existence of a secret vault. 2. The PCs themselves might suspect that there must be a "real" tomb after investigating the dummy in #12. 3. The pipe in #12 is also a clue - where could it lead?
Also how do players interact with the statue in 6c if it's currently incorporeal?
ReplyDeleteThey might bring the source of the purple mist over from room #4, if they realize how it works. Granted, this is one of the more obscure treasures in the adventure. As an additional clue, perhaps I should amend it to only the statues being incorporeal, while there bases material, so there is a clue about the possible presence of a statue.
DeleteThanks for checking this out :)
